При весе всего 725 граммов (1,6 фунта) конкурента VAIO X среди ноутбуков найти невозможно. Но, ознакомившись со спецификациями, становится ясно, что перед нами обыкновенные нетбуки на базе “атомной” платформы. Новинки оснащены 11,1-дюймовым дисплеем с разрешением 1366 на 768 пикселей и светодиодной подсветкой, 2-ГГц процессором Intel (вероятно, Atom Z550), графикой Intel GMA 500, встроенной в чипсет US15W (чаще встречается в UMPC и MID аппаратах), двумя гигабайтами памяти DDR2, SSD-диском емкостью до 128 Гб, сетевыми контроллерами Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, модулем Bluetooth, веб-камерой, кардридером с поддержкой Memory Stick PRO и SD. Корпус толщиной всего 14 мм выполнен из углеродных волокон, а дисплей защищен от царапин.
